What is the role of the Mentor?
Finding one owns place in the professional world is a challenge for any youngster, no matter what their socio-cultural origins. For young migrants, cultural and linguistic difficulties add up, which make their job search even more challenging. The role of Mentor is then to be the "decoder'" of the job market in this new context, by informing, advising and guiding the youngster in his or her professional integration.
- You will be trained in mentoring before the start of the program
- You will meet your mentee twice a month for an individual follow-up
- You will participate in reflection and experience share times between different mentors participating in the program, in France and abroad
- You will develop new skills on knowledge sharing, active listening and advising
We particularly encourage the participation of professionals who have experienced a migration and who can share their empirical knowledge of integration in a migration context.
